Get fiber internet from Wintek powered by Tipmont!

Shawnee Ridge, you're on deck, followed by Hawks Nest and Harrison Meadows

9:23AM July 29, 2019

It’s hard to believe July is almost over.  We’ve been busy over the past couple of months completing aerial construction, placing conduit in your neighborhood and pulling fiber.  We know it’s easy to get excited with all the construction activity that has been happening to get fiber in your area, but we still have some work to do.   Over the next month, we’ll be working to finish mainline construction to your neighborhood and completing the necessary network components.  We’re excited to announce that we are ready to start taking orders in all three neighborhoods.

We hope to be ready to start pre-installation visits in Shawnee Ridge mid-August, but please keep in mind that there are many moving parts happening at once during construction and delays can occur. We appreciate your continued patience as we work to bring better internet to your neighborhood.  From Shawnee Ridge we’ll move into Hawks Nest and Harrison Meadows.

The scheduling, final construction and installation process is significantly more efficient if members have their orders placed prior to drop contractors starting in a zone.  Once we are completed with initial drop installations in a zone, there may be a longer wait for connection if we have started working another zone.

Here’s what you need to do:

1.       If you haven’t already, register at  Please make sure the person registering is the Tipmont electric account holder, as this will allow your order to flow seamlessly through our system.   If you have already registered at, you may login to your dashboard using the email address and password you created when registering.  Only one registration per household is needed.  Duplicate registrations only slow us down.

2.       Once registered or logged in, you’ll be asked to place your order and answer a brief questionnaire.  Not sure what speed you need?  Don’t worry, you’ll have an opportunity to speak to a member service representative prior to service installation.

3.       Once we are ready to start the installation process which involves bringing the fiber from the road to your home, we’ll contact you to schedule a site visit.

We’ll be posting additional updates that include timelines at and Facebook starting mid-August.  For more detailed information on the fiber construction/installation process, be sure to check out our update “What to expect when getting fiber internet to your home” posted on June 27 at  We’ll also be hosting some neighborhood meetings to answer questions and show you how to maximize the benefits of your fiber internet service – so be sure to watch your email for your invitation.
